Guest hybrid_peanut Posted May 23, 2003 Report Posted May 23, 2003 Ok I have edited the registry to disable the 3 second delay: "Open the registry editor: HKEY_CURRENT_USERControlPanelSoundsRingTone0 Select 'Values' And modify 'Script' by removing the w3 (eg. change 'av0pw3r' to 'av0pr')" But for some reason it keeps reverting back to the 3 second delay! :? How do I keep it from changing back?
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted May 23, 2003 Report Posted May 23, 2003 They will reset when you change profiles unfortunately.
Guest hybrid_peanut Posted May 23, 2003 Report Posted May 23, 2003 Oh I see. I did change profiles earlier! Thanks Monolithix :)
Guest NickB&SPV Posted May 24, 2003 Report Posted May 24, 2003 I had the same problem, so I sync'd the phone up and went into IPSMApplication DataProfiles then copied the "normal" xml file across onto the computer then open it up with notepad then edited the value from 3 to 0 then saved it and copied it back to the phone. I found that this did'nt change back to 3 when I changed profile. Make sure you make 2 copies of the xml file storing one in a differnet folder to the other then if something goes wrong you still have the original to copy back to the phone. e.g. store one in My Documents and one in My Pictures saves any hassle. Hope this helps. :)
