How to browse WAP pages w/o going to the HTML page.

when the WAP page I go to has an HTML page, i get redirected to the HTML page how do I disable this? Like Yahoo Messenger. I can't access the mobile messenger. I want to know because w/ my service provider (Globe Telecom, Phil) WAP over GPRS is free so just want to take advantage. tnx.

Goto www.yahoo.com on the PC and you will find local Yahoo's near the bottom of the page.

There you should find all information for WAP/PDA Yahoos + WML messenger, etc.

Remember to try and use wsp:// for WAP addresses (instead of http://)

Also check the mobile networks WAP homepage for any yahoo access.

Do a search for WebWapSelect or go to http://twyx.ifrance.com/

This is a tool i wrote to bypass this limitation.

Please note that your SPV needs to decertified.

The tool is in french but it's easy to understand.

Just select the type of server you're browsing and

use PocketIE as usual. (SPV is the default mode, WAP is for Wap server like yahoo messenger, PocketPC and IMode are, to my opinion, useless, but they were asked ...)

Select Type=Wap -> It works great with Yahoo Messenger :)
