Has anybody notice yet that we now have the option to download updates directly to the storage card now? it asks when you click download where you want to save the files, a bit like when installing a cab file. I am sure it never used to do this.

It seems maybe O have the ability to change our update software Over the Air!

A bit worrying me thinks, do you think they could sneek in a way of closing the decert loophole this way?

Somehow I doubt it - they've already closed the de-cert loophole pretty effectively in DKUpdate2, and this'll surely be a part of the next UK update? :|

The software seems to be running over the net anyhow - it loads up an Orange url...

To make any de-cert lock in "update 2" worth the effort of programming, there HAS to be a "carrot" involved. Nobody is forcing you to apply the upgrade... so there would need to be some kind of sweetener to make it attractive. SOme "must have" feature that you either do without and keep the decert facility, or will be prepared to trade. Or is that too logical for Orange?

LOL - I expect it IS too logical for them  .

Oh, wait a minute, lads and ladies - Orange DK "gave" us 2 free games along with the update - MSR and Bust 'em. OK games that are utter crap on the SPV. I was hoping for a couple of free utils, but, no, we get games. Games that can *only* be downloaded via GPRS (passthrough was no-go  ), though we do get a whole £9 (nine) rebate on our next bill; I'll believe it when I see it. Back to the point - Orange DK gave us a half-eaten, mouldy carrot....

I would say that the carrot was very tasty... (danish T9, æ,ø,å) :|

Carrot? The bloody T9 should have been sorted from the start

In retrospect, it's amazing that we accepted the fact that there was no DK T9....

You can't download them from the UK anyway, can you? It's only Orange DK GPRS IP numbers that have access - AFAIK.

It must be even more annoying for the Danish punters who've already bought these two games.

I had an idea that Orange DK ought to have given mboden free certification for a couple of his apps and then put them there for us to download....

You don't half say a load of peculiar things Chris.

For example? Everthing I've posted here has been valid for the when the development of the thread is taken into account. Got a f**king problem with that?

Well yer sig for one thing. Especially if you choose "Pascal Couchepin".

Heh - funny you should mention it, I had thoughts along the same lines an hour or so ago. The sig. was originally an exploited lyric, just changed it a bit the other day in light of current affairs...

Ah. I see you've added some swearing onto the end. When I replied it just said:

For example?

Kinda back to the topic, can you download these games if you roam in Denmark?

I don't think so - it seems it must be an Orange-assigned GPRS IP number that accesses the site. Orange DK mention (on their FAQ, I think) that non-Orange phones don't even have access to the SPV-portal where these games are. I'm not 100% sure about the roaming tho', so I'll stand corrected if there's someone who knows otherwise.
