Too much to answer all in one go. Well for me anyway.

One thing tho compact flash cards don't work with our phone you need a SD or MMC card.

I'd recommend SD some people have had bother with MMC cards. Try www.ebay.co.uk.

Oh and the other things you mentioned. I reckon you should start by just browsing about in here and get a feel for what everyone has done (and any probs they had) and then decide whats right for you and your phone

Whatever tho Have fun and welcome to MoDaCo. :)

Yep. Start with Help&Advice section. Plenty of good info there. Try posting questions there at first and also check out the forum 'Search' for any questions you might have. Most answers have been already answered. If you struggle with something you found here, ask in the topic, else PM me or others. Definitely browse through the posts to get a feel of things.

PS: Great phone. :)

Welcome scooper.

When I joined I found that I was totally outclassed technically (I still am no doubt), but coming to grips witht he power of this phone can be made a lot easier by taking time out to just read the various posts and of course, using the forum's search function.

Dont be afraid of asking questions, but just so you know, there is a wealth of information on this forum, courtesy of some pretty switched-on people.

Enjoy!

My advice to you would be to return the Spv and wait for the Tanager aka SPVx to be released.

Just do a search on the forum to find out the advantages the SPVx has over the Spv.

It should be out within a month or so.

Hi scooper.

I'm moving this thread to Help and advice, where hopefully the remainder of your questions will be answered.

See your private message (PM) to see more info on why this happened.

The best thing to do is go by your own progress/desire. When you come up with a problem, have a look here on how to solve it. If you are wondering 'what could I use to edit .txt documents' - have a look here. So basically, untill you *need* some feature or have a problem, or are satisfied with what you can do at htis point of time, still checking out features availible so far - there is no real need to grab everything at once... Just a thought.
