When I hit contacts, I have to hit the "MNO" button so it goes to all searches with MNO. Very frustrating. It seems that I cannot go straight to the letter "O". There a way around this? With NOKIA phones, you just hit the "mno" key 3 times and it will take you to letter "o" in you contact/address book.

Try pressing 'mno' then 'jkl' to find 'oliver'. The search method works much like T9.

Or just do it on the home screen, unless you've got multiple friends called the same name, you shouldn't have a problem. Even if they do have the same first names, just search for their surnames.

Dunno about yours but for me all I would have to do is type 654

The 6 selects all names with m n or o in them. The 5 then cuts this down to m n or o followed by j k or l. this way after you get to 4 you get oli of oliver cut down in three key presses, muh easier than having to go through all the o's in the contact list. I love the way it works.

I find you dont even have to go into contacts to search I just Spell the name as it uses T9 from the home screen and Viola..... It is the the best search for contact I have ever seen on any phone.
