Guest chewie Posted December 7, 2002 Report Posted December 7, 2002 Now i'm not entirely sure if this was the SPV's fault but it was odd non the less. I had my SPV on my desk all day, i was walking out of my office and i picked the phone up, upon looking at the screen i had a message on the screen to the effect of "Network registration denied". I restarted the phone but when it powered up i was greeted to a screen telling me that my SIM card had been blocked and i need to get a PUK code from my operator! I rang orange and they gave me a PUK code. I asked the woman on support why this had happened, she looked at my account and said nothing was wrong. We both agreed that this should only happen if the SIM password had been entered incorrect three times, i dont even have a sim password!

I think you will find, if you dust the phone for finger prints, you will find some that are not your own... but fit some one around your office... I left my 7110 on my desk and went to have a coffee... I came back to a "Please enter PUC code" message, and an Andy that was hiding under a newspaper... What he had done was to put a scary photo of me as the startup splash screen via infra red while I was out, then restarted the phone to see it... not realising I had a pin number... thus he put it in incorrectly 3 times... Silly billies!! Although I suppose if you had gone out for a coffee, one of your work mates could have tried his sim in your phone, and didn't realise that it was an Orange locked phone, so tried to unblock the phone, thinking it was asking for his pin number..... Guest chewie Posted December 7, 2002 Report Posted December 7, 2002 Good idea, and exactley what i would say if someone else was in my shoes. The thing is i used my phone, didnt leave the room for about 10 mins, picked the phone up and i had that crazy message on the screen. Its F***ing Crazy
