Been a while since I have performed any surgery on my SPV, but for various reasons I have another replacement and one to send back to O.

Having done the update I was keen to make sure my new phoe was de-cert and had my IPSM before returning the old one to O. (Managed to muller my SD backups previously)

Thanks to all the links, posts and help I have now got a nice new SPV with the bootloader 'downgraded'?! to 0.93 so it actually does something useful and all de-certed. Plus I finally have some memory cards with my IPSM and bootloader - just off to un-simlock it and we're laughing.

Thanks again to all the numerous contributors and those who went before me and found all the problems!!

Just out of curiosity, do you have an idea how much time you had to invest to get the phone in this tip-top condition?

once I had grudgingly stumped up the cash for Winhex licenced version, (the only functions that I used were Import Backup and then save backup to disk (MMC using card reader)), it doesnt take much longer than 10 minutes and a couple of phone re-boots.

Thing that takes the longest is the re-boots themselves (to check it has all worked), and going through the forum to patch together the various bits of info and links to files but even that is quite short - I used a search on "bootloader" which gave me everyhting I needed.!

It certainly beats using USBHyperTerm which is a very good app but bootloader 0.93 is easier.
