Guest Lunatech Posted March 18, 2003 Report Posted March 18, 2003 I just got the HTC Tanager. The first thing i noticed is that there is no problem displaying speciall etters (like æøåã etc.) but I have a hard time typing them in!! When i press 6 multiple times on the keypad it only displays the 3 letters m, n and o and the number 6. I have set the "region" to Norway (where i live) and the language is set to US English (There is also German and Spanish avail.) I am aware of that this might be because the this Tanager still is a "sample" from the factory, but I also know that the SPV in denmark displays the letters æøå. On my O2 i also have set the language to US English and region to Norway and I am still able to input these letters. Does anyone know if there is a patch, language pack etc. to download so that it is possible to type in "special" letters?
Guest Lojt Posted March 18, 2003 Report Posted March 18, 2003 Well, we had to wait 4 months or so for the danish letters and T9, so dont count on it... And dont count on any updates at all for the tanager yet, since its not officially out (right?)
Guest Gorskar Posted March 18, 2003 Report Posted March 18, 2003 Although they do use the same software I guess, so you could put on a SPV update. I would be reluctant to do this hoiwever, as it would then force app signing on you. (you might be able to decert, but much better to have a phone with app signing disabled permanently in the rom)
