can;t initialize camera it says

Hi I have an SPVx, recently upgraded via my telco (Smart Philippines).

After the update I tried attaching the camera (it was working fine before the update)..

and this error appears:

"Unable to initialize camera: COM port busy or BAUD rate invalid"

Tried a friend's camera and the same thing happens, my friend tried my camera on his phone and he gets the same message as me. When he tried his camera on his phone, he got the error message! but he re-attached the camera and all works fine...

He is also running the same update...

Could it be a faulty camera? or phone?

Should a hard reset do the trick?

haven't tried a hard reset yet (maybe later)..but when my office mate tried my camera on his phone, it didn't work either.

and when i tried his camera, i got the same error..strange huh?

will try a hard reset later today, if all else fails, its off to smart (for a replacement, hopefully) i go!

well did hard reset and the problem persists...

ok.they issued me a new camera.

funny that the new camera works, but my friend's doesnt on my phone!

could there be a possible hardware/bios difference in the cameras?

Possible, not heard of this problem before though...
