installing .exe programs via pc

Hello there, im trying to install programs to my spv using the self-installer type programs (exe file which will install via my pc). When I run the exe file and reach to the point that my PC will display "Please check your mobile device screen if additional steps are necessary to complete the installation" normally my mobile device screen would display the progress of the installation and would ask me the location for the program to be installed (phone or sd card) but for the last few days I have attempted to install such programs, I have not seen those messages on my mobile device screen. My PC would tell me that installation is already complete but when I looked into my spv, the program is not yet installed. What seems to be the problem? :?: I have already checked my usb connection, it seems working fine plus I have not yet encountered problems in installing cab files.

Have you had a failed install recenty, or tried to install a PPC application?

If so go to IPSMWindowsAppMgr and remove any folders for these failed installs (ensure you leave folders for properly installed apps intact). Then try the installer again.

Hello there, I have checked appmgr folder, its empty. What is PPC application? is it pocket pc application? yes i did tried to install one, i think its citytime the pocketpc version, but it did not worked. Is this the problem?

Yep it may well be. Try looking at the folder through SmartExplorer (i dont think the folders are viewable through Windows). Also check you have hidden files and folders showing.
