Charging when off?

Hello All,

I am new to this forum, having just acquired my new baby :)

Can anyone tell me, when the phone is sitting in the charger/cradle and the phone is turned off, does it still charge?

On previous Nokias, even when the phone is switched off, a moving bar would appear on the lcd to show it was actually charging - but on my spv there is no light on or anything.

It should charge even when the phone is switched off but sometimes it does not work :?

I have been able to replicate the problem by letting the battery run low and the only way to make it

charge again is to power on the phone, then try charging again.

At the end of the day, normally the phone should charge when it is switched off.

Thanks very much for this - very interesting response. I'll keep an eye on the charging when on and off!
