Copy Protected DVD's?

I'm new to DVD ripping, but have successfully converted a few for watching on my Smartphone. However, I've just bought the "8 Mile" DVD and I'm having no joy. I guess it's 'cos it has "Macrovision Copy Protection"?

Is there any software out there that lets you rip protected DVD's to your hard drive? I'm not bothered what format (eg. Avi, Divx, Mpeg1 or Mpeg2 etc.) as I've got the tools to convert the video once it's on my hard drive.
