Guest Richie M Posted March 19, 2003 Report Posted March 19, 2003 Whats "Logo Certification" surely thats different to the Software Cert :?:
Guest Hax Posted March 19, 2003 Report Posted March 19, 2003 Yep - logo certification means that your software is approved by MS, not that it is certified and parroved as "safe" by Orange or the application certification houses. So, unfortunately, it's not the Holy Grail that all the softies have been searching for :) HTH, Hax
Guest yatpeak Posted March 19, 2003 Report Posted March 19, 2003 Sorry, I don't understand, what do you gain out of MS approving it? Thanks, Wyatt
Guest flashfodder Posted March 19, 2003 Report Posted March 19, 2003 Very true.. Isn't Orange the certification hurdle you have to cross?
Guest benjymous Posted March 19, 2003 Report Posted March 19, 2003 Sorry, I don't understand, what do you gain out of MS approving it? Thanks, Wyatt It means you're allowed to put the "designed for microsoft smartphone" logo on your packaging and marketing material I.e. no gain whatsoever if you've giving stuff away for free
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted March 20, 2003 Report Posted March 20, 2003 I have the signing requirements lieing around somewhere i think, some very strange conditions one of which is "must not have an exit option". Either way, as has been pointed out app signing isnt the problem, its getting the applications signed we want a solution to :)
Guest yatpeak Posted March 22, 2003 Report Posted March 22, 2003 That reminds me, have you heard back from Baltimore yet? They certainly seem to be taking their time. Wyatt
