I got my SPV as soon as it was released in the UK, and it's been pretty fine, except MMS which I still haven't got working. I haven't yet sent one, and would really like to.

I've followed the setup countless times here - but every time I send one, it says it's failed and will move it to the Drafts folder. I'm on Orange.

What else can I try?

Thanks

W.

A friend on Orange, and to an email address

You can't mms to an email address, ur best bet for that is to use something like binarys' smartexplorer to send the picture file by email.

Its old news, mms works fine really when u consider that 30k is quite big for "dumb" phones!! mms was never supposed to work to email i'm afraid :?

Brody, you can send an MMS to an email address, it's not perfect but it does work. The recipient gets your jpeg and AMR sound file as attachments. If you install the AMR codec on your PC, then the file plays back in Windows Media Player etc.

To send it from your Smartphone, you just scroll to the right, on a contact that has an email address, and select it.

I knew how to select an email adress but thought that it wouldn't send!! I apologise, i stand corrected!!!

Is it just other files that u need smartexplorer for to email then?

OK so it should work then. Just spoken to Orange who told me MMS was enabled on my account, but they've "re-enabled," as if that's going to do anything. Never know...

You can email a picture using IA Album, or you can email a wav file by pressing "Insert Recording" whilst composing an email. This is really handy for sending a quick (short) email when you can't be arsed typing!

(No good when the bloomin' GPRS package finishes!)

Other than that, I think SmartExplorer is needed. A really useful feature for sending a few pictures is zipping them with SE, then you just send the zip file.

Yeah, Binarys' have done a great job, one of the contributing factors for me towards becoming a Plus member!
