Telia puts its hopes to Microsoft after failing to attract enough

customers with an in-house developed

service called DOF (Department Of the Future).

The DOF service was developed in cooperation with Oracle and

have costed in excess of $100M over a period of three years.

Therefore TeliaSonery announced a new strategy based on products

and services from Microsoft including MSN.

Tomorrow TeliaSonera will be the third operator in the world

who launches a branded mobile phone based on

Microsoft's Smartphone Edition 2002.

The phone is called Qtek 7070 and is manufactured by

the HTC in taiwan.

The phones including a matched package of services are

supposed to be available in existing stores starting June 2.
