If you download the file with the installer (the big file) then just put the phone in the cradle and run it from your pc.

Oh, once you have it installed you can download other cab files, put them on the phone and open them using smart explorer.

I must be doing something wrong - where do I download to and then how do I run it?

Download setup_en.exe and run it on your PC when the phone is connected through Activesync.

if you want to download it straight to your phone you can go to www.bigjb.co.uk/~dstring/pages/utils/smartexplorer.htm

on your phone and once dowloaded it will install itself

make sure you are decerted though
