Headset and Voice reocrding probs

I tryed to use my hands free kit this weekend and it didnt work properly. I have used it before and it was fine. I could hear the person on the other phone but they culdnt hear me. have checked the handsfree kit and it works with other SPVs any ideas?

Also I wondered if anyone knew how to listen to voice messages inserted in to text messages. Someone told me they sent me one but I dont know how to listen to it.
