Guest purpleturtle Posted May 27, 2003 Report Posted May 27, 2003 Well, after avoiding being the one to ask this http://smartphone.modaco.com/viewtopic.php?t=63503 it appears there's no way to avoid being the one to ask this....(or maybe I just didn't search hard enough) Some info first re: SPV setup - sim unlocked, ROM updated, app unlocked (by copying over modified PROVXML file), installed Orneta Notepad, PocketTV, PHM RegEdit, Binarys SmartExplorer, Binarys SP TaskMgr, DAT SMSUtils, Ilium ListPro, MidnightSPV SpeedyMenus, MidnightSPV SpeedBoost, changed registry settings to get looping ringtone and looping alarm and customise MRU...oh, and some XML for a custom homescreen! ...and in the middle of all this have managed to do something that has duplicated all my messaging folders so that "show folders" presents me with a list like this to "select" from: Deleted Items Deleted Items Drafts Drafts Inbox Inbox Outbox Outbox Sent Items Sent Items Strange thing is, that only the second, fourth, sixth, eighth and tenth folders contain my info (like deleted/postponed/received/sent sms's - not using SPV for email yet) and the first, third, fifth etc etc folders are empty. Does anyone have any idea what I might have done to create this problem, and how I might be able to undo/get rid of it? Thanks in advance.
Guest purpleturtle Posted June 19, 2003 Report Posted June 19, 2003 Well, a hard reset sorted the problem. I'm very surprised nobody in this forum was jumping down my neck to suggest that. Off to make an omlette now... and use a hammer to crack the eggs.
Guest Zim Posted June 19, 2003 Report Posted June 19, 2003 I have thats same problem, but its a minor for me, i dont use the spv for e-mail. Hard reset should solve it, but for me its too much of and effort backing things up and all, might as well wait till something seriously goes wrong beore i hard reset. for now will put those extra folders to good use! "Z"
