Guest fde Posted March 19, 2003 Report Posted March 19, 2003 Does anyone know about an app that calculates your remaining battery time on basis of the avarage use over the last 2 days or so? This would be very handy, especially if the output could be embedded into the homescreen. Thanks for any replies Frank
Guest mike-oh Posted March 19, 2003 Report Posted March 19, 2003 The free to download task manager app has a built in battery meter if that's any help
Guest ajb3000 Posted March 19, 2003 Report Posted March 19, 2003 it would constantly change depending on what you were doing with the phone, hence be extremely innacurate!!
Guest fde Posted March 19, 2003 Report Posted March 19, 2003 I agree that this is an issue. However, the amount of usage over 2 or 3 days is somewhat stable (for myself the assumption is true at least) and so the effect can be flattened. A more appropriate approach could be to take the avarage usage (consumtion of battery capacity in % / time) as a basis. The projected "time left" could be adjusted if the actual usage exceeds given limits over a defined period of time (some minutes) the avarage usage. I don't know the best algorithm but it has been done before (practically in every notebook) and in every car with an on board computer (estimated time of arrival). I will check if there is an algorithm and post it. Regards Frank
Guest yatpeak Posted March 20, 2003 Report Posted March 20, 2003 There is also one in All-explorer, if you haven't de-certed your phone. Wyatt
