Guest Machineman Posted May 28, 2003 Report Posted May 28, 2003 I'm busy with makin' a multi screen home. I mean if ya go from sms to apps that it change of screen. Anybody who can help me with that :?:
Guest drblow Posted May 28, 2003 Report Posted May 28, 2003 One way of doing this is to set the height of each plugin to 200, and make the background image for each plugin 200 (i.e full screen height). That way each time you press down to select the next plugin, the screen scrolls down to another image. You could set different images for each plugin to create the effect of multi screens.
Guest Machineman Posted May 28, 2003 Report Posted May 28, 2003 That is exactly what I did. The home screen dat plugin is 130 The time is 70 total is 200 The next is the SMS plugin this one is 200 But it does not switch screen it stays away but if I go totaly to the botom of the 1st screen and click the active button i go to the SMS main box. What else can be wrong?
Guest drblow Posted May 28, 2003 Report Posted May 28, 2003 Have you attatched a full screen size image to the sms plugin? (for both selected & unselected format states)
Guest drblow Posted May 28, 2003 Report Posted May 28, 2003 mmm... not sure then. I'm by no means the best person to be asking about this!! I created a skin recently with a full screen image attatched to the carrier plugin, which then scrolled down to the sms, calendar etc, below - on a different background. My xml has the second (lower) full screen image (176 x 200) set as the skin background, and the first (upper) full screen image attatched to the carrier plugin (set at height 200). When at the top of the screen, the carrier plugin is selected, & the image appears. When I scroll down the image changes to the background for the sms, calendar etc. Dunno if this is helping you any m8!?!
Guest Machineman Posted May 28, 2003 Report Posted May 28, 2003 I try that's the best I can do and folow ya advice. And 4sure it will help THANXXXXX!!!! CU m8
Guest gradiation Posted May 28, 2003 Report Posted May 28, 2003 best thing i can suggest is download someone elses and have a play, i know it seems a cop out answer, but it really is the easiest way to learn. Try downloading mine or Richie's longhonr theme, both have comments to show you where the next screen starts. Then copy them into yours and have a bit of an edit to see what you can change before it buggers up, once it buggers up, you know what u need to keep and what u don't. Hope this helps mate.
Guest Machineman Posted May 29, 2003 Report Posted May 29, 2003 Hi  I managed to make a multi screen home thanx to you guys for the help. But There is only one problem left. It skips the 4th plugin (2th page) if I go down from the 1st but if I go up it gets the 4th plugin (2th page)! What could be the problem? The first "page" contains the Iconbar h=20 the clock h=90 the date (long) h=90 It does not mater if I use an other plugin after the 1st it always skip it on the way down. Just when you go up it gets it. Hope you can help me with this. :D
Guest gradiation Posted May 29, 2003 Report Posted May 29, 2003 Make sure that all your plugins on one page add up to 200 in height, if they are uneven when you scroll you'll miss bits.
Guest gradiation Posted May 29, 2003 Report Posted May 29, 2003 Also any plugin that is not selectable will be missed out as scrolling simply moves focus to the next selectable plugin, there is a work around used in both mine and richies theme, if you look at the end of each page, the final plugin is a spacer set to 200pixels heigh, so should help solve ur problem.
