Guest paddy_mcnulty Posted May 29, 2003 Report Posted May 29, 2003 Hiya everyone, Still having a few probs getting to grips with this new SPV  . I've been trying to access my hotmail account on the phone by either using the original website (www.hotmail.com) or via MSN Mobile. I've had a hotmail account for years so have an establish e-mail address/username and password. But all I ever get to the 'please sign in...' page. I sign in, it starts connecting, and just brings me straight back there, everytime - am beginning to get paranoid that it's a way of Orange making use more GPRS...Also I seem to get a lot, unable to find page, unable to connect messages whislst using Internet Explorer but at other times I can connect (e.g to Goggle, and Orange). I really haven't a clue why. Am getting confused. Cheers for all your, hopefully will get the hang of this SPV soon, Paddy

I assume that you are with Orange ? If using GPRS, then messenger uses the APN orangeinternet so check that you can connect to internet sites using http. eg. http://www.modaco.com/mobile as this will also uses APN ornageinternet. If you only have successful connections occasionally with other times giving 'unable to find page' and 'unable to connect' then you could have either a very poor signal or your GPRS connection has bit errors. Is your internet connection really slow at time ? (take ages to load pages). I had the same problem trying to setup an O2 Prepay SIM from my home and had to find a better signal test all my connections and avoid these intermittent error messages.
