How do you feel about Orange ending the £6 deal?

I know that there are already threads running about this issue, but I just wondered how people feel overall (or to put it another way, how small is the miniority that I'm in! :wink: ).

I felt that Orange said that it was a promoyion and it was bound to end sometime, but i feel that the GPRS prices should come down a tad for people like me :lol:

It was a promotion, everyone knew this all along. The prices are too high but will come down in time. GPRS isn't all that important, despite what others say about it "making the phone what it is ;p"

You hit the nail on the head there, once the technology becomes old and every phone uses GPRS it'll be cheaper. I have a sense of Deja Vu coming on, something to do with Broadband being really expensive and now... too late it's gone :lol:

I got an SPV on Mon 26th May from The Link. £15 per month with no other charge or trade in.

A few weeks ago, I was told by Orange that the £6 deal is off, but The Link signed me up to it. The assistant phoned up for the details and said it was for the first 6 months of the contract.

They wrote this on my reciept.

I've just bought a SPV last Saturday the guy in the shop told me about the £6 unlimited access which was one of the reasons for buying the phone he NEVER mentioned a Promo. He went through all the costs for GPRS and said it was £6 a month for unlimited hhmmmm me thinks I've been miss sold.
