Guest drees22 Posted May 29, 2003 Report Posted May 29, 2003 Since I bought my SPV (in December 2002) it's had a disgraceful battery life. I don't have Orange care, and to be honest I am not one to complain so I just tolerate it. Even though the phone is put to charge on the cradle each night, I take it off when I leave for work and the battery barely lasts to one bar by the time I get home, and this is with no use during the day, and the screen set to turn off after 5 seconds. I've installed all the updates, and even done hard resets, but to no avail. Anyway, I recently installed that little utility called Pocket Candy, purely out of curiosity. After admiring some of the savers available I set it to display no screen savers, as I thought this would drain what little battery life I had left and then forgot all about it. But for some weird reason now, my phone has started lasting 4 days without charge! I don't know if it's related to that softwear (it's the only thing I've installed recently) but has anyone else who's installed Pocket Candy noticed they are getting a longer life out of their SPV lately?
Guest Lojt Posted May 29, 2003 Report Posted May 29, 2003 Im getting vey different battery times on my phone... sometimes it lasts 3-4 days, and sometimes only one day.
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted May 29, 2003 Report Posted May 29, 2003 Sure you haven't deactivated the Radio?
Guest drees22 Posted May 29, 2003 Report Posted May 29, 2003 LOL! er no, I can still make/receive calls
Guest terminater2_uk Posted May 29, 2003 Report Posted May 29, 2003 I noticed that myself. Usually on one bar by the end of the day. Now I get 3-4 days out of it. Weird.
Guest jodokus Posted May 30, 2003 Report Posted May 30, 2003 hi guys, you make me very curious, where can I find Pocket Candy??
Guest jodokus Posted May 30, 2003 Report Posted May 30, 2003 I allready found it....sorry. Was just wondering if there are more people whith the same miracle?? Did you install in on the phone or sd card?
Guest phoenix Posted May 30, 2003 Report Posted May 30, 2003 its been getting steadliy better without that program anyway.
Guest theodotcom Posted May 30, 2003 Report Posted May 30, 2003 After reading this i got pocketcandy and installed it, the battery life is the same as it was, (about a bar by the end of the day), however now the menus are slower, has this happened to anyone else.
