Bug: E-mail doesn't always fully download

SYMPTOM:

I sometimes find the first couple of lines of an e-mail don't download. It seems to be when they are replying to one of my mails - I only get my mail back with each line preceeded by '>'s and their reply is missing off the top.

Why is it that after downloading the headers, the phone then preceeds to say "downloading mail x/y" even though I have only set it to download the headers? After it has finished this process, the mail bodies have not been downloaded! What was it doing?

go in settings somewhere on mail options where you can choose what you want to download at first (headers, 1000 char, and so on...)

This is a a feature not a bug. In fact if you were really paying for GPRS you would we here screaming if this feature didnt exist and someone just sent you a HUGE attachment.

Think you've missed the point. I have set the phone to only dowload the headers, but when I then mark a message for download, the first couple of lines are missing. This has only happened when the mail is a couple of lines long or when I am receiving a reply of only a few lines and the rest of the message is my original mail preceeded by '>'s
