I was just wonderin, is there another way to access the alarm of the phone than going to the settings and going to the date, etc. I've noticed when you go to this menu the clock stops as well and if you do this a lot then it would change time. and second it is a hassle to do this. another question is, is there a way to use the alarm when the phone is powered off.

I have settings as speed dial 2 so that i can get to my alarm quicker but i don't think there's any other way to set your alarm. As for the alarm working when your phone is off, this again is impossible but by tapping the power button and going into the Quick List menu you can turn off the Radio which saves the battery no end (it literally adds days to the battery life!) and obviously stops any incoming and outgoing connections (Net, SMS and calls). Hope this helps

While the clock does appear to stop, as soon as you leave the date/time menu it reverts to what it should be! So it should remain accurate!

Use Richie M's alarm-plugin (from the LonghornM5 Theme) on your Homescreen :D You get a display of the Alarm Status and single click access to Time & Alarm Settings  (Nice one Richie)

Shame the alarm is so abysmal.

Can you explain what you mean?

I've been lucky with it and used it every day with out any problems

since I first had the phone.

Yeah, it's cock-a-doodle-doo custom ring tone has never let me down  It has raised a few eyebrows though when I've set it for an afternoon reminder and forgot to turn it off. But of course that shouldn't happen again (bringing this back on-topic) now I've got the brilliant alarm-plugin on my homepage and can see that it's set :D

To put 'Settings' as a speeddial (or any other program) go to your programs menu and hover over the program, then press the right softkey and select Speeddial! It's that simple *S*

But I have to admit, that the alarm-plugin is the way to go!
