WMV weird playback problem?

When I`m playing certain .wmv and using the headphone socket I`m only getting sound from one earphone.

It happens when the files are roughly 5meg or more. On the smaller files I get both ears working fine.

Any ideas out there on how to fix this problem. I know its not the end of the world but I would like noise in both ears when I`m watching a movie.

ummm no idea.... but y r u using media player????

use pocket tv to play better quality mpegs or pocketmvp to play divx's

Yeah I`m using Windows Media Player.

PocketTV and PocketMVP both seem to have no problems.

Only have 128 SD card so prefer a smaller size file but no idea whats causing problem. Oh well unless anyone else comes up with something looks like I`m buying a bigger card.

Okay very weird I`ve found that if I start the same file and THEN put the earphones in after its started I get stero.

Ah well its sorted now and if anyone gets the same problem maybe this is the answer

I've just bought a 128Mb SD card as well and uploaded a lot of .wma files to listen to some music. When I use the headphones I get exactly the same problem, I only hear sound from the left headphone, nothing from the right. I tried starting the file with the headphones unplugged and then plugging them in but this didn't help.

Is it a known bug and is there a fix ?

How big are the files?

Mine only really had the problem with files over 5meg.

This might also sound weird but turn the phone off and back on again start a tune at maximum volume then plug in your headset and it should work.

nope, all the files are under 5 Mb. I've also tried your other suggestion about turning the volume up and then plugging in the headphones but to no avail.....
