Guest cybercamel Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 I see that Activesync 3.7 is available for download Here. Anyone tried it, is it worth downloading over 3.6?
Guest James Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 i have seen one post where someone was using it and he had some sort of problem with it but cant find the post again....
Guest cybercamel Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 I've got to admit I thought I'd seen it somewhere, but like you, couldn't find it!
Guest smartphone-web.com Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 I use it for a few weeks without any problems.
Guest ricmoo2003 Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 I am using it with no problems at all.. WinXP, 3 x PocketPC's & the phone all working nicely together! (Makes a change).
Guest squall Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 i just use it for my spv, and cant see any difference at all.
Guest Will Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 been using ever since it was available, no problems, no obvious improvements either! apart from the icons being slightly different, and maybe the buttons?? Will
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 Same here, still does not like seeing more than one device at a time though
Guest yoos Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 Awarner, I'm glad you just said that! I have a Pocket PC bar code device at work and was trying to connect it to my PC that already has a partnership with my smartphone and I couldn't get it to work! I was just sitting here for about 30 min trying to get it to recognize it.... Now I'll have to find out what happens when I delete a partnership and later recreate it... Does anyone know if it's possible to have two different versions of activesync installed on one PC using 2000 professional? That way I can have 2 devices installed at the same time? The only thing I want to use my bar code pocket PC device for is getting screen shots via the remote display (don't need to sync). Thanks!
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 yoos, if you unplug the devices then with activsync you can choose what device you want it to look at by choosing FileMobile Device It is a pain but at least it works
Guest yoos Posted June 3, 2003 Report Posted June 3, 2003 Thanks awarner! I didn't know that... My computer isn't recognizing the device so it must be something else then... I'll figure it out and then give what you suggest a shot...
Guest Vector Posted June 3, 2003 Report Posted June 3, 2003 I've been using it since the day it was released and i've had no probs at all
Guest Thurstan Posted June 3, 2003 Report Posted June 3, 2003 I've actually found it much more stable than 3.6 - I started having problems with the earlier version when I upgraded to Win XP, and 3.7 seems to have solved them
Guest abamara Posted June 6, 2003 Report Posted June 6, 2003 Still using 3.6 and having no probs whatsoever. Doesn't like both devices at the same time (pda and spv) but inserting them one at a time, it instantly recognises them and syncs the specific items accordingly.
