Guest glynton Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 Any idea if Windows media player will ever recognise my Sony NetMD as a "Device" and so be able to transfer songs to it? (I hate having to use the crappy, slow software they give you with it... plus it doesnt recognise half of the song tags and considering i have 3000 songs on my computer it's very annoying! ... all from my own CD collection of course  ) Glyn
Guest idavid Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 i dont think it will. i have the opposite problem, 200 minidiscs and no way of putting them on my computer - bar direct analog recording  . sony are being stingy about the software. there are some people developing other software, even some for macs. you could try www.minidisc.org they have some links to other bits of software.
Guest Raify Posted June 6, 2003 Report Posted June 6, 2003 Almost definately wont work, WMP uses different compression protocol to Sony (ATRAC). I agree about Sonic Stage, it's very slow and extremely unstable. I've never known such a 'new' piece of software to crash so regularly!! Nathan
Guest TANKERx Posted June 13, 2003 Report Posted June 13, 2003 I've noticed that WMP opens .OMG files and plays them (idespite them not being listed in the fuletypes in the file open dialogue box), but it refuses to transfer them over to the SPV. I haven't tried a straight copy to the SPV, maybe that would work - doubt it though.
Guest ClintEastman Posted June 13, 2003 Report Posted June 13, 2003 I really want one of the new iPods, but no WMA support!!! ARGGGGG!!!!!! The words nose and face come to mind!!! :D
Guest Immortalmindz Posted June 17, 2003 Report Posted June 17, 2003 sony do a piece of software that docks with winamp allowing transfer throught that, it may be sonic stage or mood logic i cnat remember now but that may help.
