converting dvd to spv - i'm stuck part way.....pls help

I have ripped a chapter from a dvd by using smart ripper to get the vob. file. i have then converted this using flaskmpeg. however, when i try to open the mpeg in virtualdub to resize it to spv format i get the following message

'MPEG import filter: Pack Synchronization error

Any ideas - i am absolutely stuck.

Are u using the mpeg version of virtualdub? Try here and scroll down for alternative versions of virtualdub, u should find an mpeg version. Hope this helps :lol:
