Guest mantrac Posted June 4, 2003 Report Posted June 4, 2003 We haven't had a software update since February (I don't consider the software drivers for the keyboard an update).... What on earth have these people been writing during those last 4 months?? We're talking about a mere software patch to fairly obvious, basic and serious bugs, not Encyclopædia Britannica!?! Yes, the SPV might be better in features than the Nokia equivalent phones but imagine buying a Ferarri only to find out that nobody will service them and no accessories will be made available either (except of a keyboard)! Service and Support people! Service and Support! The average mobile stays on the hands of its owner for no longer than a year.... If half that time is spent waiting for a patch to make it work properly, then sod it!
Guest Vector Posted June 4, 2003 Report Posted June 4, 2003 There is meant to be an update coming out pretty soon bow ,it's version 1.5 apparently and i've heard that it is an update by MS
Guest rogerbates Posted June 7, 2003 Report Posted June 7, 2003 I wouldn't hold your breath though, the first update was meant to be coming out not long after they released the phone. Which I think was around November time. It actually came out beginning of April. But for months Orange were saying the update was going to be released shortly. Following that pattern the next update won't be released until August September time.

Guest awarner [MVP] Posted June 8, 2003 Report Posted June 8, 2003 The first update actually came out at the end of February Depends on which country you were in, even though like myself I choose to use the Danish update as it was the first.

Guest morpheus2702 Posted June 8, 2003 Report Posted June 8, 2003 Is Smartphone 2003 likely to appear as an update, whether paid or FOC?
Guest almark Posted June 9, 2003 Report Posted June 9, 2003 see this link Bluetooth will be part of the next Smartphone. Microsoft kicked off its Paris Mobility Developers Conference with the promise that the .Net compact framework would be shipping in ROM on the next generation of Smartphone devices.
Guest siu99spj Posted June 10, 2003 Report Posted June 10, 2003 Personally I'd ask Will. In his sig he seems to mention that he has 'UK Update2'. AFAIK there has only been one so far.
Guest Will Posted June 10, 2003 Report Posted June 10, 2003 UK update 1 : the biggie. UK update 2: fixed a few bits and gave keyboard drivers. Will
Guest ajb3000 Posted June 10, 2003 Report Posted June 10, 2003 UK update 2 can be downloaded from Orange Update via the phone, and has been there for a while.
Guest strathclydezero Posted June 10, 2003 Report Posted June 10, 2003 I've been told that there's another bugfix due for next month.
