Guest HungrySPV Posted June 4, 2003 Report Posted June 4, 2003 Hey guys, Has anyone connected their cable broadband at home/work using one of these wireless routers ? Any recommendations or ones to avoid ? The Belkin 54g looks okayish but I honestly don't have clue whats a good one. Thanks Hungry
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted June 4, 2003 Report Posted June 4, 2003 I've used the Belkin Router very easy set up plus firewall etc I have three PC's wired, one wireless plus my Axim wireless, I'll get time to set it all up properly so they talk better but they all work with cable modem connected first go
Guest MECX Posted June 5, 2003 Report Posted June 5, 2003 Linksys are worth a look for sure, there routers always get brilliant reviews. easy to set up--flashing new firmware is flawless
Guest Zim Posted June 5, 2003 Report Posted June 5, 2003 Hey donno, if this helps, but have my 1mb broadband hooked to my notebook, use netgear's 802.11b wireless pcmcia card to connect to my access point. Every notbook at home connects through the access point to my notebook. basically i am the internet gateway. well 802.11b is ok, slow compared to anything wired but has the advantage of being flexible, oneday move toward 802.11g  "Z"
Guest meaks Posted June 5, 2003 Report Posted June 5, 2003 I got the Speedtouch 570 - no problems with it 8)
