i know space monkey was working on one sowas somoene else. really want golden axe and the spectrum version is crappy,lol so mame is my next bet. pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!lol

dood. how many mame roms are realistically going to work on a 132mhz processor?

Lots since their are literally hundreds of thousands of games for mame, at least 8 or 9 would probably work, like the old classics, pacman etc!

I have got my mame roms back and once I fix a few more things on PocketClive I will look at it. However, I expect very simple very old games such as Space Invaders, PacMan. Things with mainly black backgrounds with a few moving sprites on them.

Games such as GoldenAxe will probably run but I anticipate that they will run PAINFULLY SLOWLY. Also, there is a question with the mame emulator that the more roms a specific build supports the bigger the exe and the bigger it's memory requirements, so to support all roms regardless of playability it would probably need to be split into multiple exe's like one for a-f another for g-k etc, this is a result of the way MAME itself is structured, it just doesn't scale down as tidilly as other programs.

GOD I WOULD LOVE MAME ON THE SMARTPHONE! How cool would that be, theres tons of roms developed in the eightys that would work a treat, Crazy Comet for example. :lol:
