Guest Thurstan Posted June 6, 2003 Report Posted June 6, 2003 I seem to be only able to find the 5.0.5 bundle - does anyone know where I can get previous versions?
Guest siu99spj Posted June 6, 2003 Report Posted June 6, 2003 I can E-Mail it to you, its quirte big though, weighing in at over 3MB. PM me with your E-Mail if you want it and state whether the Pro or non-Pro version. Unfortunately, I don't have the Pro ad-ware version, but for SPV coding the non-Pro variant is usually sufficient. I might actually upload it onto the forum if there's enough peeps needing it, and assuming Paul don't mind (Can't think why he would). Also, I'm trying to get PocketMVP fully understanding 5.0.5, as well as some other miscellaneous changes, but life keeps getting in the way!
Guest Thurstan Posted June 6, 2003 Report Posted June 6, 2003 I think the upload idea would be good - thanks for your reply I'll pm you my email address.

Guest tuvak Posted June 27, 2003 Report Posted June 27, 2003 hey guys, do u hav a link to convert mpegs too divx files so i can play them on my SPV? iv got alot of mpegs but cant play them on on pocketmvp!!! Please help
Guest MoRFLeZ Posted June 28, 2003 Report Posted June 28, 2003 Why not just play the mpegs on PocketTV!?
Guest fraser Posted June 29, 2003 Report Posted June 29, 2003 Because mpeg sux perhaps? You can easily half the size of the file by going to DivX.
Guest zippyioa Posted June 29, 2003 Report Posted June 29, 2003 As I am still new to my SPV, help here would be appreciated greatly. I have Pocket TV - works well - no problems so far. Win Media Player - slow to load, doesn't play many different files Tried MVP (I think thats what its called) it wouldn't load anything, kept coming up with a memory error. What is the best player that will cover a variety of movie formats, or if thats not an option, what is the best format (And how do you get movies in that format) Also, I have a lot of avi files, and as pocket TV works well for me right now, I would like to be able to convert them to Mpeg - any ideas what software I should use? (Its probably already been covered already, but as this thread is kind of on the same subject!!??) :-) Cheers
Guest zippyioa Posted June 29, 2003 Report Posted June 29, 2003 following from above, I'm looking for a player that will play MANY formats, and that has fast forward rewind pause controls, preferably with a backlight that stays on , and a widescreen - via rotation option. Basically I am looking for a player that does the lot....... oh yeah, and so my last post doesn't look too off of the threads point......w what player plays DivX files, and more importantly, how do you get DivX movies!?
Guest siu99spj Posted June 30, 2003 Report Posted June 30, 2003 MANY formats? So far PocketMVP plays DivX, OGG, MP3 and possible a couple of others, I'm not to sure. PocketTV plays MPEGs (MPEG1 only) and Windows Media Player handles most MS formats (WMA, ASF, etc.). And I think both PocketTV and PocketMVP have all the extra control functions you mentioned. AFAIK there's no player that does the lot. As for getting DivX movies, most people re-encode vids they have on their PCs (Downloaded off the web probably) using VirtualDub and the DivX codec. Check my post here for a guide on encoding. ClintEastman also does some files, buts he's been kinda quiet of late (Must be all the news he's posting :) )
Guest zippyioa Posted July 1, 2003 Report Posted July 1, 2003 Thanks for the reply, I have had no joy with MVP, it just wont run stuff, it just gives a notice about being low on memory (At least I think thats what it said - have uninstalled it now) and I know you guys will ask what version I had, I am not sure, but I know I donwloaded it from the post just below this (or one of the links from it) so it SHOULD have been the most up to date. I still want an all in one though, as each of them do a bit of this.... but not that (I am sure I am not the only one out here who feels this way!) Thanks again :)
Guest Thurstan Posted July 1, 2003 Report Posted July 1, 2003 I noticed that the download link above isn't working. While I don't need it, others might. Can anyone else host the file? Cheers :)
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted July 7, 2003 Report Posted July 7, 2003 No support for mpeg-4 yet i believe. You could always try giving Orange Emblaze player a blast, not sure if it supports mpeg-4 though...
Guest haso0on Posted July 13, 2003 Report Posted July 13, 2003 tried it but it doesnt guys wont u develop a program which supports mpg-4
