Guest v1nn1e Posted June 6, 2003 Report Posted June 6, 2003 My phone fails to alert me when a text or mail is received. It doesn't play the sound and it doesn't indicate a received sms on the homscreen. I have to look in my inbox periodically to ensure i am aware of received texts. This is the third time it has happened. A hard reset seems to cure this but its too much of a long process. Can anyone help? or had similar problems?

If all else fails, delete cemail.vol file (first rename, then restart phone, then delete), but before you do serch on forum for more info on this. Warining: this will totally erase your message store with all SMS/Emails.
Guest v1nn1e Posted June 6, 2003 Report Posted June 6, 2003 I have tried all of those ideas. The phone just doesn't seem to alert me when i have mail or sms. When the phone receives mail or sms, the right soft key takes you direct to the message. It doesn't do that anymore. Its as if the phone just doesn't like to tell me when i have received something! It likes to hide it! :lol:

Guest v1nn1e Posted June 6, 2003 Report Posted June 6, 2003 Sometimes i look and i have about 5 unread messages, either emails or texts. looked in the registry at the notifications sections in control panel but got nowhere.
