Voice Mail Problems

Just had my first voice mail left on my SPV and i've listened to it and i've deleteted it but the spv is still saying that i've got voice mail and if I go to the voice it says that I have none. I've tried just restarting the phone and it still there.

Has anyone else had this problem and if so is there a easy way to get rid of it.

This is a standard Orange/SPV problem, had it once or twice myself.

You need to do one of two things, either phone up Orange on 150 and ask them to reset your voicemail icon, or you can ring yourself up and leave a message, then dial up the voicemail and listen to the message in it's entirety. Then delete it and wait until the icon dissappears before disconnecting the phone.

By always listening to messages this way you should avoid this problem in future.

Thats worked a treat, but what a pain to do if you don't want to listen to the whole message. Oh well.

Not sure if it happens every time you don't don't listen to the message in full, but it certainly doesn't happen if you do listen to the message in full.

I had the same problem, and could not get rid of the damn thing no matter what. Than found that when somebody left me another message and i deleted that one, then the symbol went!

It's said that so long as you wait until the Voice Prompt responds to your commands, then the indicator should be updated. If you just hang up, trouble...

Just a quick note- this isn't an SPV problem its a network problem. I have had it happen to me on Orange with a Nokia and on One2One with various phones.
