Welcome dan_miles86

Luckily there aren't to many settings.

Goto Settings - Data Connnections - (menu/Edit connections) - GPRS connections.

Check that you have 'Orange MMS' and that it contains 'Connects to: Orange MMS' with access point orangemms

Back to home screen

Goto Settings - Accessories - MMS setup

Check that following settings are correct

First field is Orange MMS

IP: 192.168.224.10

Port: 9201

Mmsc Address: http://mms.orange.co.uk

If you have the above settings and the MMS continuously fails to send with errors 'unable to make call' then ask orange customer services to activate the service orangemms on your account.

Good luck

I'm not sure what Orange do when they are adding an APN. The APN would be added to your account within the HLR but does this require a new a GPRS attach.

Have you tried turning your phone off and on (or radio off/on).

I still don't know what the so called "SIM updates" are that Orange send to your phone. Maybe they are some phone settings sent by default or it might just be an alert.

I would check the data for GPRS connections (APNs) and make sure that 'Internet connection=Orange GPRS' and WAP 'Connection= Orange WAP' . Also check the IE connection which should be set to auto detect. Maybe they have changed something.

 Ive tried everything i can think of & orange are about as much use a plastic apple! All ive had from them is excuse after excuse, this transmitters down, we can access your phone, we have done nothing, try just leaving it. I dont want to just leave it i want them to sort it. For 6months i havent been able to send a single mms & they havent helped at all. Now they finally try & do something & all it results in is removing my gprs. yeh cheers for that. Orange phone trainers to train!? you cant train unless they know how to use the phone themselves! Thank the lord for decent user groups like MoDaCo so we can get some help from some where. Shame it couldnt just be the network tho.... Try working on that one orange

I have the same problem!

Orange have killed my GPRS connection once, but at least now that works.

I have lost count how many 'SIM updates' they have sent me telling

me it will sort the problem.

Has it bo11ocks!!

Stupid mms, what a crock.

When I go to send one, it connects the GPRS but then hangs when 'sending'.

I've checked the data settings, and they're all fine.

Anyone have any more suggestions??

Someone needs to check your GPRS services in the HLR and then do the same in the Serving GPRS node. You may need to be deleted out of the SGSN so you can GPRS attach again.
