The SPV/Tanager compared with the rest.

Not that I am bored of my SPV/Tanager you understand, but I got the jitters today and thought I would go an buy a 3G phone or something else.....

Off I trundled to my local Phones4U shop.

Played with the 3G nec e606 flip phone. Wow - it's huge, and poorly built. Downloaded a few video clips which take ages (about 2 minutes) to view a clip of the same length. Quality was very good though, although the content is infrequently updated (watched the 9am news at 2pm for example). The dual band phone does not feature an email client or internet browser, so sadly it's not for me.

Then I moved on to the 3G Motorola A830. Well that things only dual band, poor screen, although it does have an email client, it can not make video calls!!! Also the cost of sending an email is 25p. No good for me I send/receive about a 100 a day.

Then there's the nec e808 - well what can I say about that! It's big.

OK - how about the Matrix Samsung V200 phone, although I didn’t recall seeing the phone anywhere in the movie! Great looking phone apart from the stick antenna on the top, but again, no email, dual band, no java games. Nope.

Hmm, what next.....The Nokias - Well I personally think the Nokia keypad designers well all involved in a bump on the head conspiracy. Yukky orrible keypads made for, er, er, er, I don’t know.

Then there was the Panasonic GD87 - Again it is ugly and no web page browser. Another no no.

So I left the shop an unhappy bunny, but happy to stick with my trusty old Smartphone 2002. It really is an underestimated phone.

I know, this phone and os is the best on the market IMO at the moment, all my friends jealous of my phone, it's great !!!:lol:

damn,dudes!!i've just been to www.esato.com. this is a forum for SE phones. i got so upset because there is a thread about the spv/x.boy,they were bashing our tanager for the SE P800!! i couldnt help but register and told everybody how proud i am to be an spv/x user because the spv/x is a gadget and the p800 is just a toy!! ......i just cant figure out why they hate microsoft so much......why, oh why?

They don't know the first thing about Smartphones it's sad really :lol:

they were arguing about the SPVx and some posted a pic of one, the reply ranged from "thats not a SPVx it's an SPV with a different case" to I don't know what it is but I like it" :roll:

they are bashing our tanager but its obvious that they are a bit intimidated with it.they find it so mysterious.

Are these Tanager's going to be released in the UK.

My current contract is up in 3 days and i want to get a SPV, but if the tanager is to be released here anytime soon i can wait a little.
