I bit my tongue!!!

I've just had to sit in a room full of people, and watch whilst my elder sister showed off her N*kia 7210's camera attachment

She took a picture of her son and my daughter playing together, and the whole room became interested in what she was doing

"Look, I can now set it as my wallpaper" she said

"Wow" said some guy, "Look at that David" said some woman. "God" said another guy, "technology today, it's unbelieveable".

Comments like this continued, for a couple of minutes whilst she enjoyed all the attention.

Not one to try and steal the limelight, I bit my tongue, so hard in fact, I'm surprised it didn't bleed :x All the time my Tanager was on my waist, itching to get out and strutt it's stuff 8)

The only two enjoyable moments for me, were, when after taking the fourth picture, her phone said it couldn't save it 'cos there wasn't enough memory . And, when I casually asked her how she transferred the pictures to her PC, she said "Oh, it's really easy I just send them as an MMS to my email address

8) :D 8)

Jesus man, you have the patience of a saint. Well, I suppose the strong silent types are the most dangerous. Wait till she comes across you watching a film. 'Best served cold', was that (revenge or) deserved acknowledgement?

 He he he - I became an auntie for the first time last month and took loads of pics and some video using my Fuji S602.

But what I have done blows people away - I've DIVx'ed the video and it now runs on my SPV. So when people ask me for a pic of my little niece......I play them the video form my SPV.

Lots of sounds of jaws hitting floors!!

Similar situation here.

Someone starts flashing there phone about and I'll just sit in a corner and start watching Star Wars 2 or Buffy. Undoubtedly someone wonders why I'm so quiet and 'crunch', jaws hitting floor time again! The numbers of disbelievers claiming there's no way my phone could do movies, only to be proved wrong in milliseconds.

Its a good life with the SPV. Only problem is when other phone companies catch up (Eventually). :? Maybe by then, our will be portable holoprojectors or something!

In six months the SPV will probably be an embarrassment to be seen with. . … Move so fast these days!

It still amazes me how little research people put into mobile phone purchases.

When I was lookign to upgrade I purposely set out to find a phone which could play mp3s, download new programs, and have a camera.

I was looking at the SE P800, but when that was delayed for such a long time I decided to look elsewhere, and the SPV looked extremely attractive. Figureing the p800 would be out of my price bracket anyway I went ahead and bought, and havn't looked back. No other phone (apart from the p800) even approaches what our little puppy can do even months after, and I can't help but smile knowingly to myself every time I see some mug whos bought themself a shiny new inferior phone.

Simon - you have the patience of a Saint!
