Nice idea being downloadable via Activsync but with doing this on the mobile option the cost of

GPRS + subscription fee may put most people off :?

m-Vision is also compatible with Smartphone. However, user interface of Smartphone is different to PPC. Hence, m-Vision software will need to be adjusted to suit the smaller screen size of Smartphone. m-Vision is being delayed on Smartphone until Smartphone technology is more stable. There appears still to be some issues. Witness T-Mobile pulling out of it recently. GPRS cost is another issue for consumers unless you use Active Sync. Hence WiFi enabled PPC is a more user friendly option. with lower PPC cost and lower network access cost. m-Vision is delivered via the unique GoTrek technology, www.gotrek.com.au, and will be available for downloading after 11 June. Give it a try and enjoy the new Mobile Media.

Thanks for clearing that up a bit, any idea about when you feel the smartphone technology may be more stable?

Gee I wish I knew when. Speaking to various telcos and device vendors only give me a confusing picture. I know Singtel Optus has just introduced the Smartphone to Australia supplied directly by HTC Taiwan but what about after sales support. These are all issues for consumers. The lack of details and report from T-Mobile are of concern. Meanwhile, PPCs are coimg down in prices quickly and WiFi is exploding at the speed of sound. Soon you may simply want to use your WiFi PPC to do VOIP as well as m-Vision as well as your normal PDA stuff. The world is changing faster than you can say when. While telcos are still creaming off as much as they can on GPRS cost with not many consumers, WiFi cost is rapidly coming down and the spectrum is unregulated. That's it, unreglated means explosive growth, following the same situation when internet first started. Regulated 3G means high license cost means high cost to consumer means no business case. The people have spoken.
