Guest XGEOX Posted June 9, 2003 Report Posted June 9, 2003 I've decided to create a smartphone-compatible website, but before i fire up dreamweaver, i'd like to know what factors i should keep in mind when building a site specifically for smartphone/spv: o what types of graphics does the browser support - ie png, gif, animated gif, flash, jpg, etc o what size is the viewable screen when vertical scrollbars are displayed? (so i know how wide to make the site without horizontal scrolling) o does the browser support flash or java/javascript? o i know frames arent supported, but what about layers (div&span)? thx, xgeox
Guest James Posted June 9, 2003 Report Posted June 9, 2003 keep it really simple mate!! not much graphics would be good and no gif animations or flash supported (yet) screen res is 176 x 220. dont know about layers mate? paul will tell you about the horizontal scrolling (www.modaco.com/index.php)mobile modaco
