Guest Anonymous Posted November 23, 2002 Report Posted November 23, 2002 Is it possible to change the SIM PIN2 and the barring code (without sticking the SIM in another handset)? It's not mentioned in the manual. Mike.
Guest Paul [MVP] Posted November 24, 2002 Report Posted November 24, 2002 Hmmm, just had a root around, and I can't find any way to do it for the life of me! Bit of a bug if that is the case... One for the BugTracker? P
Guest Anonymous Posted November 25, 2002 Report Posted November 25, 2002 The following GSM codes should work for changing PIN2 and the barring code: Barring code: **03*OldCode*NewCode*NewCode# PIN2 code: **042*OldPIN2*NewPIN2*NewPIN2# I've tried the PIN2 code and it worked fine. Mike.
Guest Paul [MVP] Posted February 10, 2006 Report Posted February 10, 2006 Can anyone explain to my why Orange insist on sending out a new SIM card every time I upgrade? It seems like total wastage, i've only ever had 1 number, i've had probably 10 SIMs, only 1 of which I needed when I switched to a 3G USIM. Do all the other networks do it so stupidly? Why not have the SIMpacks bundled seperately from the handsets rather than putting them in every box? P
Guest Paul [MVP] Posted February 11, 2006 Report Posted February 11, 2006 Still a bit wasteful tho, they could easily track when the IMEI of the handset you are using changes (and they do I believe!) P
