Problems following a Hard Reset?

Hi to all!

I am starting this thread to find out if you have experienced any problems following a Hard Reset.

I was out of town with no internet access but luckily had my laptop with me, when I decided to Hard Reset. I decided to do this when I started getting messages that I was running low on memory and I was having problems with getting Pocket Candy to set properly.

After doing a Hard Reset (HR), I was in a hurry to reinstall my programs and get everything in it's proper place. It was only after this when I noticed that the phone would go into a blank screensaver mode after a while of inactivity. No problem I thought, I'd adjust the settings in Power Management options. Ooops, the message I kept getting was that I cannot open the settings for this and was stuck with a blank screen power management setting.

In desperation I asked ppcsurfr for help and he willingly gave me advice thru SMS. ( I owe you some there my friend ppcsurfr! ). I was still in a fix because as we adjusted the settings for Screen saver to be disabled, the backlight was premanently on!

I decided to redo the whole process of doing a HR and everything went well from then on. Whew...

Thanks again to Carlo.

I hope this doesnt happen to those of you who are bold enough to try to Hard Reset your phone.

Regards to all 8)

Smart CSR did a hard reset on my niece's phone and encountered the same thing. I did the hard reset myself after and everything went fine.

The reason why she had to have her phone reset is when I installed IA Caller ID demo, the install process ran out of memory (she did not tell me she filled the remaining space of IPSM with MP3s) and error messages appeared after turning off and on respectively. Effect? -- she lost her Addict menu in the STK Services and the app SP Free Mem no longer functioned.

After that I defaulted her SP Task Manager to view system status (battery, internal storage space, IPSM storage space, Storage Card space --if installed) when fired. This comes in handy before attempting to install any apps. Not all apps would warn you first of possible lack of memory (Hexacto Tennis does).
