Why wont MMS or My Freeserve Internet access work outside UK

My freeserve over orange connection works great in the UK from my orange SPV but when I go abroad it doesnt work. Plz can anyone help!!

1) do you have internation roaming enabled by orange??

2) I believe freeserve used to forbid connections if you did not send the phone number. (As happens when you roam abroad, your number is not sent).
