Guest rileytron Posted June 13, 2003 Report Posted June 13, 2003 Hi, Im looking to buy a 64mb SD card for my SPV. Does anyone know where I can get one dirt cheap. English places please.
Guest James Posted June 13, 2003 Report Posted June 13, 2003 www.ebay.co.uk seems to be the cheapest place mate. you can get a 256Mb card for about £45-50 or look here at ebuyer.
Guest MoRFLeZ Posted June 13, 2003 Report Posted June 13, 2003 What's dirt cheap *S* You can get a 256mb for just around £45 And if I were you - I would save up for that! Cause you will use the space very easilly .. trust me! Edited: I have fat slow fingers! Anyways, just checked my phone, I have a 256mb card, install EVERYTHING on the card, currently I don't have any mp3s on it, and only about 50mb worth of film. At present time there's 85mb space left, the rest is taken up by programs, games, utillities and such! So a 64mb card wont get you far *wink*
Guest vijay555 Posted June 13, 2003 Report Posted June 13, 2003 yep, i agree. english prices just aren't worth the effort, and i safely bought from ebay. bite the bullet, spv will rock... mmm, simpsons on the train >drool< V
Guest rileytron Posted June 13, 2003 Report Posted June 13, 2003 I have found a Toshiba 128mb SD memory card on Ebuyer for £30. Can anyone confirm that this card will work for my SPV. Thanks
Guest siu99spj Posted June 13, 2003 Report Posted June 13, 2003 Assuming its a standard Secure Digital (SD) or MultiMedia Card (MMC) it will work fine in your SPV. Most people tend to use SD as its cheaper and can be larger but either will work.
Guest Posted June 13, 2003 Report Posted June 13, 2003 SD is also slightly quicker than MMC, although not by a hugely noticeable ammount.
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted June 13, 2003 Report Posted June 13, 2003 SD is also slightly quicker than MMC, although not by a hugely noticeable ammount. Not on the phone but SD is supposed to be 4x faster than MMC but the main advantage with SD is that it's more stable.

Guest Extreme_biker0 Posted June 18, 2003 Report Posted June 18, 2003 64 Mb card are A TENNER!!!! or dabs.co.uk!
Guest James Posted June 18, 2003 Report Posted June 18, 2003 but you could not even hold a movie on 64 meg!
Guest Extreme_biker0 Posted June 18, 2003 Report Posted June 18, 2003 No but you could on 2! But i see your point. If u want movies, yeah. Me, I dont think there is a media player on the spv good enough to play full length movies. The MVP comes close, but when it comes to resuming the last file it gets dodgy.
Guest squall Posted June 18, 2003 Report Posted June 18, 2003 i shouldnt really ask so maybe someone could pm me with an answer? what program do you use for extracting dvd - something windows media encoder can read?
