Guest Deemon Posted June 13, 2003 Report Posted June 13, 2003 that looks like the Symbian OS homescreen to me .... very odd
Guest ClintEastman Posted June 13, 2003 Report Posted June 13, 2003 Apart from that WMP logo in the middle!!
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted June 13, 2003 Report Posted June 13, 2003 Looks like the OS on the touchscreen Samsung phone ;p
Guest midnight Posted June 13, 2003 Report Posted June 13, 2003 those cannot be real, theres photos of the mitac with the normal os in place, and i doubt MS would allow them to change the whole functionality of the smartphone os and thus maybe make the mitac incompatible with all the other smartphone mobis, could be wrong of course
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted June 13, 2003 Report Posted June 13, 2003 mayb thats the menu To give it a PPC feel? The Mitac that people tried out at the meet had the normal Smartphone menus etc. I like it though.
Guest haso0on Posted June 13, 2003 Report Posted June 13, 2003 yeah its different mayb u can change the style of the menu when ever u like...just like the 7650 and 3650...you can make the menu as List view or as Grid view
Guest midnight Posted June 13, 2003 Report Posted June 13, 2003 but wheres the softkey buttons? (the text for the softkey menus i mean) ;P

Guest Lifestream Posted June 13, 2003 Report Posted June 13, 2003 those cannot be real, theres photos of the mitac with the normal os in place, and i doubt MS would allow them to change the whole functionality of the smartphone os and thus maybe make the mitac incompatible with all the other smartphone mobis, could be wrong of course  Erased with black. It´s only the menustyle that have changed to make it faster. If you don´t belive.... well I don´t want to write so much so I´ll give you one more....
Guest Lifestream Posted June 13, 2003 Report Posted June 13, 2003 8380 provided two kind of styles contact surfaces: SmartPhone standard contact surface and CECT special-purpose contact surface, in latter a little similar to the Linux KDE contact surface, and ppc.
Guest midnight Posted June 13, 2003 Report Posted June 13, 2003 hmmm, just seems more than just a menu style, the whole of the plugins have changed aswell thats all, i didnt say i didnt beleive you, just said that i thought it was unlikely cos i thought ms wanted a uniform os, not allowing carriers vast amounts of customisation so that there are no probs with the os.
