I commended Modaco to customers who had dialled 156... and got carpeted for doing so: an "official warning". I pointed out that there's a DIRECT link from the Orange (Switzerland) webpage to Modaco, and was told "what THEY do is irrelevant. You are NOT to give out Modaco's URL". I'd been giving out the site address because back then the quality of information here was a hell of a lot better than you got from phoning Orange. And THAT was seen as "the problem." Orange doesn't control what's talked about here. In theory, you hand out the address, someone comes here to pick up a specific piece of information... and while they're at the site they ALSO learn how to unlock the phone. They try it, they screw up, and their phone doesn't work. "But you TOLD me to go there and that the info there was GOOD." They'd rather keep customers in ignorance (and under control) than let 'em loose here. On the other hand... you're in PAYG as I recall. Wouldn't surprise me in the slightest to discover that they have a totally different policy to 156's. Whatever... watch your back, because by telling customers stuff that's not on scholar, you're breaking the golden rule.
