Help me with editing xml files for SmartConvert ON THE PHONE

I have a problem.

I have the smart convert app, which I use for currency conversions.

As there is no form of update I manually put in the newest rates for

the most important currencies.

I would like to do that on the go with editor appz,

BUT: Neither NotBad nor Orneta Notepad let me write new text into

the xml file containing the text!

I can delete characters, but whenever I write new ones, it shows the

charatcter I type for a second and then makes it dissappear again.

Is this some sort of security setting, so we can't mess up important

xml files (we can still delete characters though)?

Or what is wrong?

Hm

Just tried the third notepad app that came out a while ago and it says:

"File is too large to open with NotePad! Do you want to read it with

Internet Explorer?"

Maybe the other programms (Orneta + NotBad) can open it, but cannot

add characters, because it is also too large for them!

Do you agree with me?

What is the maximum character count for either of the programmes?

Nobody know the maximum character count?

The file I tried to edit had between 25,000 and 26,000 characters!

use bonfire xml editor instead :wink:
