Guest pyke Posted June 16, 2003 Report Posted June 16, 2003 a friend from SMART told me that there will be a newer SAP.its as big as the tanager but the camera is built in already.do u think its worth replacing the tanager with?.......i dont think so.i'll ask for the specs real soon.
Guest Lopio Posted June 17, 2003 Report Posted June 17, 2003 Yeah i heard that from Smart also, they said they will be releasing it next month with built in camera.
Guest BrAGoL Posted June 17, 2003 Report Posted June 17, 2003 better wait to see how the camera works on it... and also the other features that will be added...
Guest ppcsurfr Posted June 17, 2003 Report Posted June 17, 2003 Are you sure you want an integrated camera wit your phone? Places will start banning these things in the future... In Australia, I think, these things are no longer allowed inside locker rooms in sports clubs. Also, in the Philippines, you're no longer allowed to bring them into the casino... well at least that was how it was when we went for breakfast in the Casino's cafe in Waterfront hotel... Guest dinoalbert Posted June 17, 2003 Report Posted June 17, 2003 as for me, I still prefer a detachable camera since I dont use it all the time, I just keep it in my pocket  and a built-in camera makes the phone bigger, isnt it (look at the 2 Nokias and the P800)? I doubt if this new phone wil be the same exact size.... it must be a bit bigger but I could be wrong... :D
Guest kroblanx Posted June 17, 2003 Report Posted June 17, 2003 I wonder which phone it will be. I'm betting it's the Mio, but isn't this one going to be a lot bigger than the Tanager when opened (twice the length in fact - pretty hefty)? Just in case I'm wrong and that it's a different phone that has a built-in camera and is no bigger than the Tanager, I'd like its version WITHOUT the camera. Just imagine how small that device would then be? Drool..
Guest mapaman Posted June 17, 2003 Report Posted June 17, 2003 Are you sure you want an integrated camera wit your phone? Places will start banning these things in the future... Hmm, well I'm glad I have a "spy camera" in my PDA (Zire 71)
Guest ironwoodph Posted June 17, 2003 Report Posted June 17, 2003 if there will be a new SAP phone, will this translate to a software update?
Guest pyke Posted June 17, 2003 Report Posted June 17, 2003 well,i have a feeling that the new SAP,whatever that is,will not be as powerful as our tanager considering that there were a lot who returned the tanager because, not everybody can dig its greatness.the tanager is not for everybody and for business' sake, smart will this time, have something that will be.on smart's point of view, they made a mistake about the tanager dahil maraming nagsoli....yun lang ang akin.
Guest ironwoodph Posted June 18, 2003 Report Posted June 18, 2003 I think you're right there hottee_male. Many were quite awed at first but di pala nila ma appreciate ng todo since they cannot tap its greatness or not that inclined. pero ako, well, really appreciated it very much. there were just some things that i have missed from my 7650 pero maybe it will be addressed in the next version. by the way, i was told by a friend that the upcoming model from Smart is a Smartphone 2003 version.
Guest mariolouis Posted June 20, 2003 Report Posted June 20, 2003 well if it's a software upgrade, i hope it can also be used for the SAP.
Guest grifter Posted June 20, 2003 Report Posted June 20, 2003 unless it's on a totally different hardware platform.
