Guest rileytron Posted June 17, 2003 Report Posted June 17, 2003 HI Im Looking for movie trailers to view on my spv using pocker spv or something like that. Could anyone tell me where i could download these sort of trailers which are of a decent size so that i can put them on my phone. Either websites or what i need to type into a search engine to find them.
Guest James Posted June 17, 2003 Report Posted June 17, 2003 to play on what movie player mate? Windows Media Player? Pocket TV? Pocket MVP (here)? Windows Media Player uses .wmv files, these will have to be converted by you to be the correct size ect..(help here), but there are some on the Orange SPV site that you can download Pocket TV (MPEG) or Pocket MVP (AVI, Divx) files, these will have to be converted by you using Virtual Dub to be the correct size/encoding type (have a look in articles) or there are some about on here that people have done. (pocket MVP examples here) virtual dub settings here.
Guest rileytron Posted June 18, 2003 Report Posted June 18, 2003 I Have all of the above players. I was just wondering in general where I could find some move trailers, funny clips etc that I could download directly and put onto my phone. Also if anyboy can help. I want to put some video clips that I took on my fuji camera and play them on my phone although none of my players will play it. Any idea of how I could get it to play Thanks
Guest nobznss Posted June 18, 2003 Report Posted June 18, 2003 I know that apple.com has a bunch of trailers, but I think they're in .mov format, and would have to be converted if that's even possible. Try going to the different websites for movies, or just movies.com. I think they have a couple themselves. What format does you camera save the movies at. There would have to be some form of conversion that would have to take place probably.
Guest rileytron Posted June 18, 2003 Report Posted June 18, 2003 My camera saves the movies in .mpeg format but i think its the wrong codec. How can i get round this?

You should be able to do the encoding with virtual dub or windows media player. Try re-encoding it that way.

Guest nobznss Posted June 18, 2003 Report Posted June 18, 2003 Not the way I compress them. I like really good sound quality so my movies are around 115 megs... well I guess I could fit 2 on my 256 meg card. 115+115 = 230. Wow! I never even thought of that!!  *No sarcasm intended.
