Guest Damian_demon Posted June 18, 2003 Report Posted June 18, 2003 Is there anyway to increase theringing volume louder than the preset volume? :?: , I aways find that I don't here my phone ringing so I have to hope that I feel it vibrate any help?
Guest squall Posted June 18, 2003 Report Posted June 18, 2003 firstly are you sure its set to the loudest? to check go into the profile settings (settings/profiles/normal - meenu edit) ring volume set this to loudest. there are alot of people who find the standard ringtones to soft. you tend to find if you use a .wav then they are alot louder and much more noticable. have a look under customisation to get .wavs made by others.
Guest crafty Posted June 18, 2003 Report Posted June 18, 2003 Sounds simple but have you tried the "Loud" profile. Thats way loud with my ringtone, use it when i'm outside or its in a bag. Failing that you could re-record your rington [if you're using your own .wav] to a louder volume.
Guest fde Posted June 19, 2003 Report Posted June 19, 2003 Some wavs are recorded on a low amplitude level (such as for example win xp sounds). Use a program like any sound editor and amplify the wav a couple of times. Then save the file at 8bit, mono, 22khz (or even less). Now, you get a decent loudness which will make your phone vibrate even without having vibrate activated. -Frank
